my 6 yr old Bosh tankless hot water is not so
great. The hot water only comes intermitantly
or when it does, you have to run it forever. It
was recently cleaned and flushed but no results.
When my friends come over they are quite surprised

My 1 year old Bosch Tankless GWH 425N had flames shooting out near the pilot, about 2 feet out. A very scary scenario. Apparently, the ignition switch malfunctioned, while gas was pouring into the unit. Had I not been in the basement when this happened, I may not have been here to write this warning.

The first unit we had installed in 9/09 failed, due to a faulty ignition. We had the unit replaced in 11/09 or so, and up until now, was working. Two days ago, the fire incident happened.

We have ZERO confidence in the safety/reliability of this product and would NEVER recommend it to anyone.

Not only has it terrorized us, as of late, but it also only allowed one appliance to be used at a time. You could not take a shower and do laundry at the same time. (Even with an energy efficient washer).
